What is Human Design?

Manifestors are trailblazers who are designed to initiate others into action. They are here to be catalysts for the other Types, and function like the white ball on the pool table that gets all the other balls moving. They initiate the work then move on to the next thing. They are not designed to work in traditional ways and need more rest to be sustainable.

Manifestors have an internal nonverbal creative flow and need a lot of freedom & independence to follow their inner creative flow. They can get angry when their flow gets interrupted because it can be difficult to get back into it. 

Their Strategy is to inform others who will be impacted by their actions before they act to avoid creative disruption or meeting with resistance. Informing means clearly communicating their plans & needs in advance. This helps manage expectations, prevents anger from all parties involved, and ultimately brings more inner & outer peace. 

Manifestors represent about 9% of the population.

Generators are the builders & doers of the world. They are here to follow what lights them up, bring ideas into form, & master what they love doing. All Generators have a defined Sacral which gives them a gut-level "Uh-huh" (Yes) or "Unh-uh" (No) response to whatever shows up in their outer reality. 

Their Strategy is to wait to respond to what shows up (rather than initiate), then trust their Sacral response to guide them to what feels good & correct for them. Generators feel satisfied when they've used their energy correctly. However, they often feel frustrated when they've said "Yes" to something they really don't want to do. 

Generators have a stair-step learning curve and hit plateaus in their learning process where they can feel stuck. This also leads to frustration and the tendency to quit things prematurely. However, this is often a sign that they are building momentum for the next break-through. Learning to interpret their frustration can help them discern when it’s time to quit vs when they need to stick with something & wait for the next break-through. 

Generators represent about 37% of the population.

Manifesting Generators are builders & doers who also have initiating qualities like the Manifestor. They are here to follow what lights them up, and to find the fastest most efficient ways of doing things. Like Generators, they can trust their sacral response to guide them to what feels good & correct for them. Manifesting Generators have a lot of energy & need to multi-task to burn off all their energy during the day so they sleep well at night.

It is normal for them to sometimes need to go back to repeat the steps they skipped. It is also normal for them to hit plateaus in their learning where they feel stuck. This can cause frustration & make them want to quit things prematurely. Learning to interpret their frustration can help them discern when to quit vs when they need to be patient & trust that the next breakthrough is coming. 

Manifesting Generators represent about 33% of the population.

Projectors have the innate ability to see others’ potential & guide them toward fulfilling it. They are here to share their insights & wisdom and act as guides to those who recognize & invite them to serve in that role. Projectors have a natural talent for mastering systems & are often recognized for what they have mastered. 

Their Strategy is to wait for recognition & invitations from others before offering their wisdom & guidance. This ensures they will be seen and heard and that they are using their energy correctly. Projectors feel successful when they are recognized & valued for the wisdom they bring. However, they can feel bitter when their guidance isn't valued, or when their energy gets depleted.

Like Manifestors, Projectors are not designed to work in traditional ways and need more rest to be sustainable. Valuing themselves enough to wait for the “right” invitations before sharing their wisdom, along with valuing themselves enough to rest, are critical to fulfilling their role on the planet. They often have a lot of deconditioning to do around the pressure to do more, especially in a world that values constant doing & productivity.

Projectors represent about 20% of the population.

Reflectors are highly sensitive & empathic beings who can sense humanity's potential. They play a vital role in mirroring back the health & well-being of their environment. Their unique perspective helps us "course-correct" & align with a higher vision of what's possible. 

The Reflector's open design amplifies others' energies & makes them very fluid in nature, with energy levels that can vary vastly from one day to the next. As they trust in life's unfolding, they are continually surprised & in awe of their day-to-day discoveries. Being in the right environment, one that is supportive & nourishing for them, is crucial for Reflectors because they literally become their environment. In fact, it can be very difficult to extricate themselves from the "wrong" community.

Their Strategy is to wait for at least one full lunar cycle before making big decisions. During this 28-day lunar cycle, they need to talk to different people about the decisions they are facing so they can discover their inner Truth & what feels right for them. Because they are so easily influenced by the energies around them, they need this time to find clarity. However, Reflectors often feel pressured to make decisions too quickly & this can lead to disappointment. They can also experience disappointment when others aren't living up to their potential. 

Like Projectors & Manifestors, Reflectors are not designed to work in traditional ways and need more rest to be sustainable. They are not designed to "keep up" with the world around them, & function best when they can be patient & trust in the unfolding of life.
